Which size photo collage fits your wall?

· 4 min read

A collage that's too small gets lost, one that's too big overwhelms the room. These simple rules help you choose the right size.

The two-thirds rule

Above a sofa, sideboard or bed, choose a collage that's about two thirds of the furniture's width. For a 200 cm sofa that means roughly 120 to 140 cm wide. Hang the bottom edge 20 to 30 cm above the furniture.

Our sizes at a glance

We offer twelve sizes, from 40 × 60 cm up to 120 × 180 cm, in portrait, landscape and square. Smaller sizes (40 × 60, 50 × 50, 50 × 70) suit a desk corner, hallway or small wall. Medium sizes (60 × 90, 70 × 100, 80 × 80) are the classic choice above a sofa or bed. Large sizes (80 × 120 and up) make a statement on a big, empty wall.

More photos, bigger size

With many photos, each photo gets smaller. Around 10 photos look great from 50 × 70 cm, 20 or more photos really come alive from 70 × 100 cm. The bigger the print, the more pixels your photos need, so the sharpness check helps you here.

Test it on your wall

Tape out the size on your wall with painter's tape or pin up sheets of paper. Leave it for a day. You'll quickly feel whether it should be bigger or smaller.
