How many photos do you need for a collage?

There's no single right number, but there is a sweet spot for every layout and size. Here's how to decide.
Few photos: calm and powerful
Three to six photos give each moment room to breathe. Perfect for a wedding, a portrait series or a spotlight layout with one big photo and a few small ones around it.
Eight to twenty: the classic collage
This is where most collages land. Enough photos to tell a full story, while each photo is still easy to see. Works well for a holiday, a family year or a birthday.
Twenty or more: a mosaic of memories
Lots of photos create an energetic mosaic, ideal for a year in review, a friend group or a big birthday. Choose a larger size so every photo stays recognisable.
