How to make a photo collage, step by step
· 5 min read
A good photo collage tells one story with many moments. You don't need design skills to make one. Follow these five steps and you'll have a piece you're proud to hang.

1. Pick a theme first
Decide what the collage is about before you open your camera roll: one holiday, a year with the family, the first year of a baby or a wedding day. A clear theme makes choosing photos much easier.
2. Choose your best photos
Aim for variety: a few wide shots, some close-ups and one photo that can be the star. Remove near-duplicates. Use the original files from your phone or camera, not screenshots or photos sent through chat apps, because those are compressed.
3. Pick a layout
Start with one of more than 150 templates or let CollageGo arrange your photos automatically. Every layout adapts to the number of photos and the size you choose. Want full freedom? Studio gives you a blank canvas with shapes, letters and numbers.
4. Fine-tune and add text
Drag photos to swap them, zoom and crop, change the background colour and the space between photos. A short title or date gives the collage meaning. The sharpness check tells you if a photo is too small for the size you picked.
5. Choose material and size, then order
Pick poster, canvas, acrylic glass or aluminium dibond, in one of twelve sizes or your own custom size. What you see in the preview is exactly what we print. Your collage is made in 3 to 5 working days.
